Just a quick question, As I am cleaning all the grime off this A-arm, I see that there is a pinkish -red paint on the corner of it. Does anyone know if it was factory and why?

Welcome to the site!
The paint mark you found is a assembly line inspection mark or "paint daub". As you take the car farther apart you will undoubtedly find many more. I have a 79 Monte Carlo that is loaded with them including on the brake booster, rear backing plates, rear axle center bore, etc. I also found many crayon or grease pencil marks on this car.

Okay, i thought it might be but, wanted to make sure. I'm keeping track of ALL the numbers (what portion / part it comes from)
I have the whole entire frame apart, sanding & blasting. Top side completely sanded and applied por 15, probably turn it over this weekend, and start wire brushing and 3M scotch bright and por 15 2x. Have powder coated the brake backing plates, and spindles.
Do you know of any company's that sell tubular A-arms, reasonably priced?

Welcome from SW Georgia. Most of the time the daubs and pencil marks are quality check points as I sometimes choke when saying that

Welcome Blizzerd; Happy to see ya save one. As for your question UMI (a forum supporter), Global West & many others sell chassis arms. The best part of the up grade is the car will steer Much better. Good luck, Bob Jr.
