I sent away to GM of Canada Vintage Vehicle Services, to get the information package on my car. It arrived pretty quickly (3 business days). According to the info in the package, my car is 1 of 124 4 speed Malibus that were sold in Canada in 1980.

That's a nice find! Looks like all of the desirable qualities in one package. V8, stick, buckets and no vinyl top!

Just a short update. I've gotten the car ready for the road, and I'm going to start driving it. I switched out the original 14" wheels and tires and wire hub caps for a set of 15" by 7" Corvette style steel rally wheels with the police style center caps. I'm going with BFG Radial T/As, P225/60R15 on the front, and P245/60R15 on the rear. A friend of mine loaned me a pair of similar rims with P275/60R15 tires on them to try on the car, but they were just too wide, and the tires were rubbing on the frame on the inside. The rims have about 4.25" backspacing on them. I'm pretty happy with the look of this new wheel and tire combination on the car.

The car looks great, Jeff. What a difference a set of wheels and tires make. The rallyes look like they should have been installed from the factory...they're a natural on these cars.
They did look good on my wagon when they were on there.

Thanks to awdblazer and to Jack for your kind words. Thanks to you Jack for the center caps. They look really good with this wheel and tire combination.
