Newbe from southern MD with school bus yellow 81 malibu wagon with a warmed over (small cam, duel plane intake and headers) crate 350/th350. The tq converter is an unknown brand that will foot brake stall to to 3600rpm. The rear is an un original stock 7.5" 10 bolt with unknown gear ratio but im thinkin somewhere close to 2.73s.
Yes i know it is a little mix-matched but thats how I bought it.
My first question is: Should i ditch the "big" converter for a B&M torque master 2000 that I have from a previous project and get some 3.73s and a posi for the 7.5 and ride it until more power dictates needing a stronger rearend OR should i leave the "big" stall and go on the hunt for a 8.5" 10 bolt and go with 4.10s and a posi?
Any advice and/or sugestion will be greatly appreciated!!!
