Hi Guys/Gals Im new here, I'm a Bodyman by trade. Iam Restoring/Customizing my baby (83 Cutlass Calais) for the past 8 years. I've rebuilt the frame & body in a over the top showroom condition to my perfectionist standards, in my spare time & Im finally at the mechanical stage. Much to my wifes delight as some seats and headliners rims,ect.. will be leaveing the basement. I Just wanted to ask some info from anyone who has put a small block 350chev with a T400 trans put into a 81-87 Cutlass RWD. Im wondering what headers to get for this project, Ive been asked if I want to go with a shorty or the longpipe?, I have no idea which one is easier to work with I can see its a tight fit. Looking to run dual exhaust out the back is 2.5" or 3" the better way to go. Also Im wondering if I can use the 10 bolt diff I already have and just change the gears or do I have to try and find a 12 bolt diff thats (hard to find)?. Any info would be greatly appreciated and if anyone needs advice on Auto Restoration/Welding or bodywork issues, Just ask. I will post pics of this project once i get familiar with this sites features. Thanks All
