Hello everyone, just wanted to write a quick note and introduce myself on the boards since I am new. My name is Eric, I'm 34, and I have been a G-Body enthusiast since I was a teenager. My first car was a 1980 Olds Cutlass Cruiser, originally a V6 car, that became a project for me and my dad which we put a 400 small block Chevy into, as well as various other things which turned it into a nice cruiser. Unfortunately, I sold it in 1999 after I bought my first new vehicle, and have regretted it ever since. I am hoping to eventually buy another G-Body wagon, and I figured joining this forum would be a good way to get information, talk to others who are familiar with G-Bodies, and maybe, when the time is right, meet someone selling a G-Body wagon, as I notice they are getting harder and harder to find.

Eric

30 + mpg! Automatic Transmission. Top of the line for it's day with all the options - Power Everything: brakes, steering, windows, door locks, side vent windows, seats, & all work! Tape deck, Clock, All lights, signals, etc. all work! New tires! New fuel filter! Good batteries! Oil & filter just changed (uses about a qt of oil every 3,000 miles). Leather seats, rear seat folds flat. Diesel heater works great (for winter). Body's straight, no rust, never wrecked. Second owner car. Home made center console. Have hub caps & center caps. Starts & runs good!

What needs fixing: Speedometer does not work (shows 129,000)-I use my Garmin GPS for a speedometer.) Bad paint. Dash cracked & broken. Headliner sagging. Needs new door seals - they are cracked & brittle. Windshield cracked - all other glass good. Rear window does not lock - squeaks without duct tape. Shocks will not hold up rear glass. A few chrome moldings are off the car, but I have them. Roof rack needs roof bolts & installed. Could use a new set of shock absorbers.

Welcome aboard Eric!
Hope you find what you're looking for. Although you might have to travel to find a nice clean, rust free example.
