I came across this build thread while researching mopeds (boredom...go figure) this week and all I can say is wow. This thing will be sick when finished. 450cc dirt bike 2 stroke with an intercooled turbo and a big blue bottle. I wish I had this kind of fabrication talent.

freakin sweet. haha I love this random stuff

I just finished looking at the picture documentation of this build, freaking amazing skills this guy has. Can't wait to see it done

I would almost be afraid to ride it...almost. It would probably kill me, but I don't think I could resist if given the chance to ride that much awesome.

seeing the dates from the start, I thought it'd be done by the 8th page.... I'm not much into scooters, but dang that dude has skills and imagination! 8)

I'm gonna hafta bookmark this one till it's done! good lookin out on this 85! 😀

They really aren't my thing either. However, I love anything that is well executed and thought out. I figured there would be others on here that feel the same way. After all, I have found that there tend to be a fair amount of Hot Rodders who can appreciate ANY cool mechanical thing, no matter what it is. It goes with the type of problem solving intelligence that tends to be a common trait among gearheads. That being said, if I were to be in the market for a scooter/moped, the stock version of the Honda Ruckus is sweet looking. Nice and industrial in execution without any cutesy details. The only thing that could make it better is a clear powdercoated raw frame, like Eastern uses on some of it's BMX bikes.
