Resurrecting an old thread because i have a mechanical (no vacuum) heat only system installed and it does the same thing. Great heat, switchable from floor to defrost but if you put it on vent. it is cold air. I checked the doors and cables and have come to believe that vent is actually just outside temperature. Unless there is a seal or door internal that isnt working
