did you hook up and adjust the TV detent cable as per factory specs>?jking78 said:Just rebuilt my 2004r and I have no passing gear.
I bought a torque convertor lockup kit from Bowtie Overdrive.
I have a 2400 stall and a stage 2 shift kit.
Any idea on why I wouldn't have a passing gear?

OK thx I will rewire tomorrow I think that's the problem. I have quick sliver shifter in my car the kit I have it wired to my brake switch and when I step on the brake it feels like it kicks down but when I give it some gas it rev up then boggs down.bill said:you get no kick down in any gear or just from 4th? If its not kicking down in 4th, your lockup may not be unlocking when it should be. If thats is the case, I would disconnect the lock up and see if you can kick it down to third. You may have to rewire the lockup to the brake switch or manually switch it off. I had to do that because my OD wouldnt disengage when I kicked it. I used the cruise control kill switch so that when I touch the brake, it unlocks.
