Both had factory 15x7s (GN & 442) that I had put in an 8" rim. I think it was 4" bs.

while we're on the discussion, I went out and took some pictures for you guys tonight. These are BFG G-Force Drag Radials, 275/60R15s mounted on 15x8 Corvette Rally wheels, with 4inch backspacing. The rear frame rails on this GP have been replaced, and so could account for the tighter fit.

Yup. You might want to roll your inner fender well lip. Also you might want to add an air bag or two. Its great both to pre load your suspension for maximum traction and for back seat passengers and junk in the trunk. For traction only usually somewhere around 10 to 12 pounds in the passenger side rear. Assuming you have a posi don't use the brake just stomp the gas roast em till it hooks up and look at your black marks. Adjust pressure until they start and quit at the same time and leave flat even marks with both tires.

yes, using a 8.5 posi in there... There is lots of junk in the trunk right now so the car is sitting slightly lower. And the posi clutches are starting to go. So I will attempt this test once the posi is healthy and there is less junk in the trunk.
... someone suggested using cargo springs to get a taller ride height in the rear, but I've heard my 60ft times will suffer. So I much prefer the bag idea that you've suggested.

The pics without the spacer is what mine looks like on the inside no room, the pics with the spacer is what mine looks like on the outside. 15x7 rallys with 237/60R15 stock wheels I believe has a 3.75 B.S.

I could not even bolt those up they would be against the framerail, the only difference between a 60 and a 50 series is that the 50 is a shorter tire why would they not fit? Going to have to notch just to fit a 275, was hoping to go wider but that won't happen on this car.

If you have a standard width rear end and 15x8 wheels with 3.5 backspacing you would be all set.....
