I'm removing the vinyle top from my 1983 Grand Prix. Is the rear window trim interchangeable between Buick, Olds, Chevy and Pontiac? Best place to find it?

Yes, it is interchangeable between the makes. however, when you remove the vinyl roof, there are no provisions (studs) to mount the trim retaining clips onto. I believe one of our vendors, Classic Industries, if I remember correctly sells these. I have a set of the rear trim pieces in great condition I will sell for $35 shipped. They are chromed and do not include the clips, unless I can find some which I would be more than happy to include free of charge. If interested pm me, I do have Paypal and can send pictures of the trim as well.

While I can't speak for the Gran Prix.... I removed the vinyl roof from my 83 cutlass and the chrome trim was under there.... It took a lot of cleaning to get all the glue off but it worked. Got it cleaned up, installed new clips and popped it right in place.... Just like new..

I took my vinyl roof off my GP and there were no clips for the window trim on the back window. I'm removing the front trim anyway to replace it with a rubber trim that'll be flush to the window, a pillar and roof line and I'll do the same in the rear so I don't need the clips
