Hi everyone. i've been browsing this forum for awhile now and am impressed with many cars and knowledge i've read.I recently bought a '85 442 and after seeing underneath am interested in redoing the whole suspension to more modern standards. I'm not looking for big speeds here, just wanting to replace old tech. with newer tech. Any suggestions would be great!! thanks.

Just go to tubular everything. Front and rear control arms non adjustable are cheaper and u wont need the adjustment anyway. A ser of new spring wont run you a whole lot but provide drastic improvement. The addition of new sway bars will help in the overall feel of the car. even if the car will never be drivin hard or raced these things will make everyday driving more enjoyable and less like riding in a wore out boat. Might also consider a quick ratio power steering box, i love them as they make steering the car quicker and more controlable
