Look at the ad, anyone in their right mind knows what's going on here...

"These original GM units are pressed in... and are in very limited quantity".

If they aren't original then the it should read, "GM original units were pressed in"

"very limited supply, order now before supply is gone, reproductions coming soon"
Shouldn't have to state anything about limited quantity if reproductions are coming soon.

All their other ads clearly state if a part is reproduced (BTW I was happy with these):

Email history:

Brian: "Mike I had ground about 20 sets of these down & put double sticky side adhesive on them. Do you want any of those? You know how it is when you remove these from the lights & try & re-install."

Me: "No, I want factory original just as pictured."

Brian: "They are both originals I just ground the backs down."

Me: "These emblems look like sh*t, what did you send me the worst ones?
Once again, over charged on shipping..."

Brian: "It is the same as the H/O dash emblems I have, The Red Le sabre emblems. They are an end run. I should of learned after you bent the shifter bracket."

Regardless of all this I was never offered a refund but instead being falsely accused again for purposely bending a Lightning Rods shifter bracket that I returned due to no longer needing it after going with another vendor because they screwed up the order process.

He brought this up in another thread regarding an issue that arose with the ordering process:

I dont take it as it is for NOS ones now that I read into the ad. His wording isnt the best, and there are grammatical errors throughout his site.

88Hurstolds, this isnt directed towards you, I just wanted to use this picture.

If this ad is for actual GM parts where is the ad/option to purchase the reproduction ones that are being shown and discussed in this thread?

If you read into my explanation on the progress of the emblems you will see why they are not available quite yet. Where they are??? not sure as we ducked out of the deal earlier this year with having them made and left it up to Brian.

I think it was wrongly worded and taken as a GM part. I know his verbiage personally and he can throw things from correct context. I think those may be samples, and I do not know if he truly has some other type emblems. I think from looking at them, they appear to be samples that are used as an initial mock for approval.

I think it was wrongly worded and taken as a GM part.

Considering the first 4 words of the ad say "THESE ORIGINAL GM UNITS" and then followed up with an actual(and correct) GM part number, and no option to buy the coming soon repoduction ones, how else could it be taken? LOL

For the record, my purchases from them have went fine and I have never had a problem with the quality of the things I bought from them. And no matter what gets put in this thread, I will buy from them again if they have what I need. Hell there are many proven facts about Walmart to make me dislike them but I still end up in the store once in awhile.

I agree, and this is a correct and positive way of looking at things.

Well regardless of what wording is on that website the email history clearly shows they knew that they was selling NOS GM product to me.
The evidence is strong that GBP is knowingly selling reproductions as NOS and it sickens me even further that I am out $113.

That's the last time I purchase from that company.

Looking back out of the 7 purchases I've had over the years:
1. 2004, Damaged steering column, never received the parts to fix as promised
2. 2007, Interior dye, charged full price for 3 when site states buy 3 get discount, had to contact to get refund. Tried again a few times to purchase dye but issue was never fixed so I gave up buying and just made my own.
3. Lrod shifter bracket, received, over charged on shipping
4. Lrod shifter bracket #2, didn't receive, sent to wrong address, blamed for bending it when I didn't.
5. Console indicator, received, over charged on shipping, notified, refunded
6. 2nd Console indicator, received, over charged on shipping, notified, refunded
6. B-pillar chrome, received, no packing materials, trim was bouncing around into one another but wasn't damaged.
7. Emblems, see above.

As you can see not one went without incident...

A successful business generated smooth transactions without incident. and does not rip their customers off in sneaky ways hoping they won't notice.

I don't shop at Walmart, buy nice things once so you don't have to buy them 3,4 or 5 times over...

88hurstolds, I too hate when vendors sell repo stuff as GM original and its a shame people feel the need to tip toe around because of what forums those vendors support. I had delt with a similar issue a few years back with a stamped distibutor for a 71 GS455 so I feel your pain.
