That is way expensive! When I see these crazy prices I just picture a pissed off wife telling her husband to try and sell his project car. So he puts it on craigslist with an unbelievable price so no one asks about it. Either that or there is alot of dumb ****s that get off watching Barrett Jackson!

i messaged him... HATE TO BE THE BEARER OF BAD NEWS BUT IN 1986 THERE WERE 41,164 SS MONTES PRODUCED AND ONLY 200 AEROCOUPES.... SIR, THAT IS NOT AN AEROCOUPE... I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST ON YOUR SALE, BUT AN 86 MONTE IN THAT CONDITION SELLS FOR AROUND $500... i wasnt trying to be a dick, was just trying to inform him...

When I first saw his add a few weeks ago I emailed him the same info about production numbers but he never changed the add and about a week later he deleted his add, then I saw his repost with the ridiculous price tag and he was still stating it was 1 of only 200 produced so I decided to rip on him here.
He appears to think his neglected Monte is still are rare find.

maybe he means the car NEEDS $8000 in work done to it... lol

 I'm betting on the pissed off wife thing.

IMHO, that thing barely qualifies as even a parts car... doesn't appear to be much worth salvaging and based on his "Racing" comment, the driveline is likely near death... if the exterior is any indication of everything else, its totally wasted... and it sure looks like salt stains coming through the carpet where the center console is supposed to be...

"There is some rust but its still a solid car."

WTF???

Yeah, because what isn't rotted-away-completely IS solid...
