one more needed! (if I counted correctly!)

That is one sweet H/O! They get/ got no love for years, including from me, even though i am a G body guy, having owned four over the years (84 Regal, 81 Malibu wagon in the past), and two currently (79 Malibu since 97 and 83 Malibu wagon since this Spring.). I am still kicking myself for passing up the 79 (?) H/O I came across about 20 years ago. It was black and gold as well. The seller was only asking $500, but it was nowhere near as clean as yours and not running (no damage, just from sitting) It was a rust free Central Texas car, though. I went to look at it to see if it had an 8.5" rear to swap into my '79 Malibu, and since it didn't and I was a broke apprectice electrician at the time, I passed. I now realize that IMO, it would have been a lot cooler car than the baby blue malibu that originally came with a 267/ TH200 and 2.29 7.5" rear. I shoulda bought the H/O and sold the 'bu, but the 'bu was my daily driver at the time, and my backup was an 82 3/4 ton Suburban with a 6.2 diesel (Reliable and somewhat efficient tranportation and tow rig, but not exactly good for "spirited" driving... I remember when I first saw the Hurst Dazzler wheels like those on your car. I immediately thought "WOW, those would look great on a black/ gold H/O like the ne I passed on years ago..."

I have had a gbody since 96 also and I had a 6.2 diesel full size blazer that would tow one of my cutlasses to the drag strip thanks for the kind words on my Hurst olds every one asks where I got the wheels they like I had them custom made because the match so good

I must confess, I read the original post thinking "Sticker Shock" meaning the price for the options (eg. 442, GN, etc.) and mine was only $14,704.00 new.. Which is actually pretty high for a GP in 86.. Regardless, now that I fully read and comprehend.. I will get some up close pics of the Grand Prix Stripes today after work... It was an option, and I have the window sticker and build sheet as well.

Right now, the attached is the best I got at my fingertips.

November's Theme is "Sticker Shock" . WTF?

I'm talking about the "sticker packages" or equivalents that were available either factory or through a dealer. Your "SS" models, 442, H/O, T-Type/GN (yes I know there weren't stickers on it.) etc. Dealer special editions like the Cutlass or Grand Prix GT, W-19, M-80, Choo-Choo etc. count, too.

Looking for legit examples, so go! I will run this until I have 8 entries to go from.
I presume that this qualifies. 1988 Cutlass GT from North Carolina. The selling dealer was Regal Oldsmobile in Winston-Salem. The car originally sold for $6652.00. The Cutlass GT package cost the dealers $595.00 and consisted of: dash plaque, hood scoop, rear wing, two tone silver on the bottom of the cars, 4 Cutlass GT decals and stripes, low restriction muffler and a dual exhaust tip. The package was put together by Tops and Trends in Kernersville, N.C. The original plan was to build 400 of these cars for Southern Oldsmobile dealers, but only 280 were actually made. My car is #14 of the 280.

Great minds think alike! I was disappointed to learn that the Dazzler wheels were only available in 5x4.75". In addition to my 79 Malibu, I also own a 91 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon. I was thinking of making it into a "Hurst Olds tribute car", but would need the wheels in 5x5" for it... I have a set of 17" Impala SS wheels for it, but I am kinda "over it", as it seems like 90% of the B bodies you see have those. Right now it is sitting on a set of 15x7 Pontiac Rally II wheels that I believe my brother bought for his 71 GTO Judge convertible clone project, without realizing that they were 5x5".
