oil burning

i got blue smoke from tail pipe and one valve cover nasty , pcv on both sides have oil blow back.

At start up or acceleration? What motor?

What kind of mileage? Could be just worn out and tired old engine. Valve seals, rings, etc. How much oil does it use?

i was thinkin the same . about a half quart a week from a to b.thought about changing the oil and weight...

you could have a plugged pcv system. if crankcase pressure is to high it could be forcing oil past the rings. if possible i would hook up a vacum gauge also run a compression test.
