I'm in need of a oil filter that is of 'small diameter' ( say no more than 3.5" ), does NOT have metric threading, is easily available and cheap. What applications would use an oil filter like this and if you have an actual part number for the filter that'll be great. I would also need to know exactly what the threading size would be too since I don't have any way to check it and I need to know.

if you go to napa they should be able to look it up in a WIX catolage.at least when i worked their about ten years ago they had those specs in the in the catalage, that is if you can find a guy that still knows what a catalage is. 😀

Check w/ K&N too... I might have a "catalog" at work .... Are you trying to make room for headers?

No, it's for a non auto application. Actual size is irrelevant as long as it's not too big and it doesn't have metric threading. I figure that type of oil filter must be ran at least some common engine application so somebody here would know.

I had to use Napa oil filter #21042 . it's a shorter filter than what is called for on the 307 due to my headers being in the way. No leaks & fitted right up.

It's not usually a big job to remove the oil filter housing. Why not bring the housing to a parts store to match a filter to it.

A bit too large in diameter. It would 'obscure my view' too much.....

Check the filter for an LS1 in an F-body. I had test fitted one on my engine looking for something smaller and know it worked but was WAY too small for my liking.

Might work for you.

Fram lists the below dimensions for a PH3506:

3.36"H x 2.98" OD
