Oil gauge feed line

I used the tiny tube cutter. That closed the end up a bit, but an awl opened it right up. Then I sanded the lip so it fit great.

One last question. My cousin said to bleed the line of all air, so oil is at the gauge. Does that make sense? I don't believe I've ever bothered to bleed the air out, and I guess air is better inside the gauge than oil. Which way works best? Does it even matter?

Everytime you shut the engine off air will go into the line. No way to stop it. Its fine, won't hurt anything.

MrSony is that why I see air bubbles in the line when the motor is off? I always wondered about that. Under pressure it looks like solid oil all the way, then when the motor is off, I see air in the line. I know air compresses and oil doesn't but I figured the air would migrate to the gauge end.

no copper makes no cents....😀
Ahhh my bad lol. I'm just so used to the piss poor grammar on the interwebs these days I didn't even think about it!

I agree, but pontiacgp usually has good grammer and spelling so I questioned it as soon as I noticed the spelling.
