Hey there, I'm going to be swapping a sbc 383 into my 87 Regal. As I was having it dynoed, one of the guys mentioned the pan looked a little too low for a regal, and might drag. Anyone have any input and/or photos of a sbc oil pan that fits into a Regal? I'd like to find out if I need to replace it before I put it in the car. While I'm at it, any suggestions on motor mounts? Thanks in advance.

a Regal is no different than any other G body as far as the engine placement. What kind of pan do you have?

7 qt Milodon pan

If its the pan you listed or even moroso brand you will have no issues. The pan is almost flush with frame. I use both that pan and the moroso.

Wonderful. Just wanted to double check before I dropped it in. Guess it wouldn't have been to big a deal to do a test fit, but I'll take all the info I can get. Thanks everyone.

before you bolt the pan on make sure you have a windage tray or your oil pressure may drop when you accelerate hard
