whats an easy way to change my oil pan gasket in my 83 montecarlo with a 305 without pulling the motor?

I think you can just drop the pan right there under the car. You may need to do some wiggling, but I think it can be done

I don't believe there's enough room to do that. The oil pan won't clear the pick up tube. You'll likely at least have to remove the engine mount bolts and lift it another couple inches.
I tried to do this on my 455 in the car to check the rod and main bearings, and it didn't work out so well. That's how I know... Lol

yeah i figured that its the last thing i need to do to the motor to get it up and running again thanks yall

I just lifted the engine and slid 2x4's inbetween the engine mounts and engine. I use studs instead of bolts and that helps to keep the gasket in place.
