Oil pressure wires V6 to V8

ok here's how it breaks down, the brown/white wire is from the choke heater fuse (run in hot) and goes to the switch, when the engine runs the pressure goes up and connects to the tan wire for the idiot light/gauge and the choke heater to the brown/white wire.

so what do you do when you switch over to gauges connect the blue and brown/white wires together? on the schematic it says hot in run and i usually dont have my car in the hot in run position so i guess that's not much of a concern if i hook the two wires up yes?

in the choke heater for v6 with gauges (vin A) they're showing the wire from the choke heater from the fuse block to a choke heater relay with a brown wire from the generator going to it and the blue wire connected to it as well. again, when in the hot in run position the circuit closes from the choke heater wire to the blue wire for the choke heater. they're also showing a choke indicator in series from the gauges fuse block to the choke heater relay sharing the same connection with the blue wire.

it appears the choke heater will have to be rewired if you switch to gauges. that's what it looks like anyway.

I found the problem. Looks like my car spend most of its life at Disneyland cause there is more mickey mouse in my car then at the park. Ok the "choke heater" that little one wire grey connector on the right side of the carb has been electrical taped to a thick red wire plugging into the distributor cap. But its also connected to something else below. How this is able to work is beyond me. But at least I now know why the volts light comes on and the oil pressure does not. I know these lights are for show. But remember I'm an electrician by trade so crappy electrical work is not acceptable. And for all the people that don't know this just because a private garage has that ase badge doesn't mean all the guys are master techs. It only means there is at least one master tech there. The rest of the guys are mickey mouse mechanics that don't know the difference between the sun and the moon.

AMEN BROTHER! Having been a PARTS PRO at RETARD AUTOPARTS, I know for a fact that a lot of shops with ASE on the wall are not as good as you might think. Parts swappers are not mechanics....
