I have a 350 Olds engine just trying to find out what year the block is?
395558 2 Block #
1256523 Oil filler #
31M160984 Block pad #
THANKS

Actually 68 to 76. The heads SHOULD tell the year, if they haven't been changed.

Heads should be marked 5, 6, 7, 7A, or 8.

It has the #7 heads not sure if there orig. I thought the block pad # s would give you the year....Thanks

It should be a 1970 350. There should be a stamp on the block under the head with the date code. You need to find out which pistons are in it to see exactly what you have.

You have a 1971 350 made at the Michigan plant.

Thanks....Is there anyway I can find out what Oldsmobile had that engine in it.........................

Could be tough. Pretty sure it will be 8.5 to 1 compression with the craptastic .400/.402 lif cam.
