Sbc in a Hurst Olds is just so wrong but whatever...

You're gonna need alot more than Chevy motor mounts to make this swap work. You'll need new wiring harness, accessories, accessory brackets etc.

Stock 2004r will eventually get roasted behind a 400 cid engine without mods unless you drive it responsably.

So what did you do to blow your 307 anyway?

As mush as I would love to throw a 403 olds into it I just don’t have it, i have a sb400 I’ve been building just sitting there and I’d figure why not, and as far as motor goes it’s knocking bad I let my brother borrow the car for a weekend and when I went to pick the car up is was knocking so now I’m left with a knocking 307

I'll take a free 84/85 307 for free please!!!!

My personal choice would be a 403 but if you have a good 400 SBC laying around, I can't blame you for wanting to use it. It's YOUR car, do what YOU want with it.

350, 403, 455, or 400 olds would swap in 100% easier, just saying. I think the better 200r4s these had will hold up fine at ~350hp.

Sell the sbc. 😀

Eh.. Do what you want, its your car.

If the 400sbc is what ya got, then run it. My Pontiac GP has a 305sbc in it.. Im not running out to find a 400 T/A 6.6 or a SD455 for it.. lol
