Have you tried a throttle/TV cable bracket from a 260? They had two barrel carbs.

Stay with a q jet if you ever switch to 4 bbl. So much easier and cheaper to find all the brackets and cables, plus you will need an adapter to mount an Edelbrock or Holley on stock or edelbrock intakes. There really isn't much to gain power wise either on an engine like yours, plus you will loose fuel economy.
