Soooo...... Who's in? Seriously I want to bring this back from the dead.

Yes, the whole enchilada has been available for quite a while. Oldspower.org, .com, .net, etc. Kept getting attacked, server folks were total azzhats and everything was my fault according to them, paid for protection, didn't seem to get it. It was totally 100% funded by me the last few. I gave up and tossed in the towel. Wasn't fair to me or the membership. I would have loved to save the archives, but it was getting to be a huge burden and they went up in flames the final crash. I had a real job that was 12 hours per day. Just couldn't keep up with all of it. I was going to practically give it away but nobody wanted it. So out of frustration, I told them just to pull the plug. There are archives of some posts still floating around somewhere.

I'm glad SOMEONE got it so they can resurrect it. I have no interest in doing that crap ever again. 🙂

Oh, and btw, Oldspower.com and realoldspower.com did not have ANY feuds going on, regardless of the rumors. A dust up or two, but nothing of any real importance. I want to put that to bed right now.

Yeah, I really hoped the database had been saved somewhere. 🙁 Even an older copy I could rebuild it from and invite people back would be sick. But if people are interested at all in rebuilding it from scratch I will do it. After it expired some East-Indian asshat spammer had it full of just garbage, and then it expired again and here we are...

I can see some of the previous stuff in archive.org, the forum structure, etc. so that part is easy enough. Unfortunately they don't go enough levels deep to get the actual content out, and it would be hard to use it that way...

Sorry. I had a lot of that stuff backed up on discs and did save it for a while, but...it got tossed out at spring cleaning earlier this year figuring it'd never be needed again. (Yeah, I know).

I did a search on my old computer here to see if I had left anything of any importance on it and no. Nothing of any importance.

Unfortunately, it will need rebuilding from scratch I'm afraid.

I'm going to close this thread, and start a new one stickified in the Oldsmobile section here. I want to gauge interest and keep it up front in people's heads. It's happening. So start spreading the word. If anyone should happen upon a backup database, let me know. Once I get my hands on the domain (it'll take a few days) I want to get started.
