That sway bar looks like it would work well with a narrowed rearend... and 15" wide wheels. Do it.
It's much beefier than I thought it would be - the forward bars appear that they should have zero flex. It should mount just inside of the spring perches. I intend to weld on the mount brackets rather than use a u-bolt. The 8.8 kit that I bought from Southside Performance has a budget lower spring mount that is welded on the axle. It can easily be relocated if needed. From mocking it up it looks like I should have plenty of clearance on the center housing (offset 8.8).That sway bar looks like it would work well with a narrowed rearend... and 15" wide wheels. Part number? In July I ordered a hitch that was 'in stock' in New Jersey.
Conveniently it showed up this weekend lol. Only 5 months after I ordered it and 3 months too late.
I thought these things were not being produced any longer, but I guess I was wrong - this is very fresh paint and packaging.
Wonder how much that slowed me down, eh? I made 3 hits in a row and cranked up the boost and timing as I went, but didn't go a whole bunch faster. Needless to say, when I saw it, I thought of you and knew some hackery would be involved lol. They really don't design these bars for lowered cars. What an interesting solution to the endlink mounts.
And yes, the driveshaft kissing the cross brace is bad.
Rusty Exploder 8.8 with a 35 spline spool.Is that 7.5" rear end? 🤔 Or Ford 8.8"?
