Perry,
It looks like you found a new long lost family here...I knew you'd like the site. There's a great bunch of guys here that are more than willing to help. :friday:I see that they already welcomed you and introduced themselves.
I hope you find the site informative and comfortable to ask questions, hangout, etc.

I used to know a Perry from Up North who had a Malibu sedan disguised with dog dish hubcaps. Not you by any chance?

Quinn,
I also knew and remember Perry(Cammiso?). I've picked up a bunch of tips and ideas from him. His site was Malibu North, if I'm not mistaken. He was one of the first innovative Malibu owners at the time. Not the same Perry.

Just so you guys know, that's kinda the running joke for us up here in Canada when folks from other countries ask if we "know Bob from Toronto".
Given the vast expanse and population of our country, that's kinda like asking if you "know Billy Bob from Alabama". :p
Just having a bit of fun with ya's. :)

Hi Perry. Welcome to the site from near Lindsay Ontario. As you've found, there are lots of good folks here. Your wagon looks like quite a good score. What's the powertrain in the car, and what's the mileage?
My wife was born and raised not far from you (KL).
I recently purchased a 1981 Olds Cutlass Cruiser. On my initial inspection, the 76,000km car looked to be in pretty good shape, but I've since found some serious rust issues in the body. Not sure what I'm going to do with the car now. I have an Iraqi Malibu, which I'm going to sell soon, and a 1984 Monte SS as well.
Keep us up to date with your progress on your car. Looks like once the springs and shocks are replaced, you should be up and running again. Hope it goes well for you.

I'll accept the poke. But, I'll point out, how many Perrys are Malibu aficionados? Better yet, Jack knows exactly who I was talking about (even his last name!) "It's a small (G-body) world, after-all..."

And to return to the original thread, it perplexes me that if I want to ship to a country that borders us, it goes by air-mail?!? Kevin has repatriated a few small Malibu bits for me - anything larger was just not cost-effective.

Hey Jeff - Glad to hear from you. Yes, we're pretty much in K.L. as it's just over the hill. I usually tell people that's where I'm from as it's a more popular name. We kinda go by Lindsay on our way to Trenton to visit Margaret's family. We should meet up some time. Send me a PM and we can talk more about whether I might know your wife's family. How long ago did she live up here? Was telling Jack about my friend's dad who would lend me his Cutlass Cruiser in the 80s. Best riding car I'd ever been in. :)
