I'm thinking about painting my Monte with a medium blue metalflake just to be obnoxious. The interior is dark blue so I want the exterior lighter for some contrast. What do you guys think?

I'm In the same boat, 1987grand prix with dark blue interior, it's white right now , but throwing around The idea of painting it ,black, black and red, silver, silver and black, or just keeping it white, lol haven't decided on what color , try looking up the same year can in that color and see if you really do like it before you do it to your car, or just paint it what you want forget what anyone else thinks it's your car man.

man, I still can't get over how awesome that looks!

i still need to buff mine with a finer compound one last time before she hits the road. and just my thinking but there no way you could get that big of a flake out of a spray gun. unless theres some technique i havent heard about...

They do make guns that spray dry flake onto wet clear but I just looked up the prices and I don't think I'll be buying one of those anytime soon, so I guess I'll be stuck with some smaller flake.
