where did you get the decal and are you going to have another lid so you can keep the lid with the decal for shows?...it sure does look nice..

Decal is fine in my opinion.

Only thing I would change are the spark plug wire color. Black would look a lot nicer than the bright yellow.

Or even a blue that would match the engine.

i like it and think you should keep it but what if you got a cotton air cleaner element in grey? i think that would look good. ive never liked the paper ones

Gonna go with a K&N when this one starts lookin shitty.

I think it looks fine on there and when you go to the car shows maybe it will eliminate the what size is it questions.

The hood has 455 emblems on it and they still ask.

Got it from a decal vender at Carlisle on Saturday. You can get them anywhere now, tons on Ebay. I only drive the car to cruise nights and shows, and of course the ocasional take it out just to cruise around sh*t.

The wires are on the list. Gonna be blue or the red MSD. Those Accel wires don't fit worth a sh*t anyway.

I like the stickers, I had two on my old olds 350 that said Rocket 350 and Ultra high compression.

I had the same accel wires but Universal fit so the number one plug wire looped around the brake lines and the inner fender to keep it from laying on anything hot lol. I have a set of 8.5mm red wires specifically made and cut for an Olds with HEI I bought from a private company at the show once, the best set of wires I ever bought.

any idea what the brand name is/was? just curious...thanks

I've always run Taylor 8mm wires and just cut them to fit. You get a nice clean fit made specifically for your engine that way.

MAXX performance IIRC
