I also recently signed up for a tuning class so I will finally understand how to properly tune my own junk...tired for getting screwed. Big update tomorrow hopefully!

Is the tuning class online?

update!!!!

Oh man I can't believe how long it's been since I updated! So I need to find all the new pics but I am much bing along nicely with the suspension having installed the 2" UMI drop springs, Southside Machine upper control arms with tall ball joints, Spohn lower control arms and stock spindles. Will be adding C5 brakes momentarily.

I also worked a lot of wiring and acquired a custom G8 air intake that someone installed an LSA blower in. Using my calibrated eyeball it looked right so I took the risk and with minimal tweaks it dropped right in!!!

I'll have a lot more this weekend because I got a ton more stuff that will make others happy!

Thanks for the interest!!!
Dave

I was looking at some of those blowers on ebay, decently cheap if you can find one. I have one that came on my Camaro, be careful with the spring loaded isolator. If you haven't already changed it out, I recommend doing so. They are prone to failing.

Yessir, not sure if I documented it here but I pulled the blower apart when I got it to replace the isolator. Speed Inc. solid isolator in place and ready to go!

Thanks,
Dave

I assume the 403 met a sad end like FCR. Very nice build, I have a lot less of a problem with people putting whatever motor they want in a regular 80's Cutlass than a Hurst/Olds or 442. Obviously sentimental value, not actual value, other than the parts put in it is the case with most G bodies. Very nice build and smart to avoid the weak 4L60-70 series trans.

oh yep, see it now

Trying to do at least one or two things a weekend. Engine wiring is just about done. Had to redo some work previously completed because I didn't like the initial result. Standard faire for an install of this type...headers on and off multiple times because I stripped the threads in the head, wiring lays right on header, etc....

Done header installation and am tying up loose ends at this point. Got a trans dipstick tube today that was terrible...just isn't going to work so I got a stubby one that will get the job done. A few more weeks and she'll fire...still need brakes and rear suspension completed along with exhaust but I feel like I am getting into the home stretch. Picked up a cheap Summit Racing heater for the car just in case I need it.

Here's the pics I have so far (couple repeats):

Adjusted the route of critical wiring and am much happier with the clearance. Slow and steady.

Here's the rest of the pics with updated wire routing...will snap some more later since I had to run out of the garage yesterday (late taking the boss out to dinner).
