I agree that he should have incorporated some early '64-'65 El Camino styling to give it a more "retro" look. At least some of the rear end treatment from the earlier Elky would have looked better than what was used.

Just imagine what Lepu and Pitbull would have done... I hate to think of it. :puke:

As someone who has a franken camino/Camaro, I was disappointed in the designwork. I think a flush fit factory style front bumper under the Camaro nose would have looked better.
One thing may people miss about el camino styling is that the rear DOES NOT have to match the car that the front came off of. Different custom lights in a custom rear bumper would have been more fitting.

Lights in an el camino tail gate just don't always work out. I put vette bubble lenses in a custom flush license bucket fiberglass tailskin years ago. Looks cool at night, but I've been wanting to get rid of them since I did them.

I love the El Camaro as it was built by Chip including the rear. The tail pan below the Camaro bumper makes it work. I have a couple of 5th gen El Camino's that need restoration as well as a 68 Camaro RS/SS Convert.
I would like to do the exact same build. Does anyone know where I can get more pictures or details of the build?

I watched that show once for about 5 minutes and was in utter amazement as to how that show ever made it on the air. Those two hacks take ugly, shitty cars and make them uglier and shittier. Can't wait for that one to get cancelled.

On the Elky I wish he'd of used a 60s Chevelle clip instead of a Camaro clip. Nonetheless looks okay.
