Owners of 4 Doors, Please Look

I have a set of power vents for a sedan, I presume you could swap the non-power glass and use the latch in the power frames.

Second option, have you looked into the 78-80 sedan door glass? They used a full door glass, with vents on the quarter, as opposed to in the door. I have not had an early sedan next to a later sedan to see if there are differences in the window frame, but it might be worth a look.

Now that never occurred to me. I'm pessimistic, but GM was cheap and lazy, maybe they used the same doors. I have no way to compare them either. Even if it works, you need to find the glass and the felts.

I suppose if you found glass, you might hack front door felts ....

I just compared some pictures, and from everything I can see, aside from the vents the doors do look identical. This is an exciting idea!

I know a guy that has one (79 sedan) that I'm trying to work a deal on for another project. Problem is it belongs to a third party, who has absolutely no motivation to sell anything. He's not really a hoarder, just incredibly lazy. Has had the rebuilt trans to go back in his 1-ton for 3 months, still isn't in, despite friend #1 offering to come help him stick it in. Guy is retired from gov't service, and just really is in no hurry. I've tried to buy a couple coupes from him for about a year...always the same story...need to get trans in truck to move frames on trailer so he can bring coupes to town.

Funny part...I sold mr lazy a 71 Chevelle in 1994....that he hasn't done anything with, either. Lots of plans to sell frames to circle trackers, but no drive to make it happen.

Anyway, friend #1 said he was going to start applying a little pressure to #2 to get his stuff off of #1s place, so maybe in the next couple of months I'll have a sedan donor car.
