Painting in garage

If that's your situation, you either paint outside or better get MAACO.

Painting outside may be a viable option... maybe some kind of tent or enclosure. It's going to be awhile as I haven't even stripped the paint yet but wanted a plan to get her in epoxy thereafter.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a temporary enclosure attached to my garage door. With proper ventilation and the fact that I would be able to push my car directly into it, it shouldn't be too bad

If you use plastic for your enclosure, don’t let the car stay in it into the night. I have a temporary pole and plastic garage kit that i use. As night time sets in the plastic develops moisture that will drip on your car.

I stopped painting in my detached garage years ago. I made two mistakes. First time I got JD yellow Centari overspray all over my car. Live and learn right ? Nope. Second time I had the car covered with thin plastic I got from the local bodyshop supply. Draped it over the car. No problem. I was spraying water base clear poly on pine interior doors. I went inside, the heat came on and the forced air got the overspray under the car and it covered the frame and anything that the plastic didnt touch. It was a mess.
Now I only spray in the warm weather.I bought a cheap 10x10 walled canopy like they use at fairs. Set it up behind my garage and run an air line out to it with the filter at the end. Its real redneck but it works well. I only do parts now. Biggest things Ive had in there were the rear interior panels for my wagon and two rear ends. I also have two rolling clothes racks that Ive turned into parts racks. Painting the stuff depends on the temps I can just roll the stuff into the garage and crank up the heat.

https://www.eagleind.com/products/black-max-fans/ We use these 24" for our industrial painting and adhesive rubber work, MEK, Toulene, etc.. when we are in plant sites. Very expensive, may require 240 Volt service, but they work. You might be able to rent them from United Rentals or like. Filter air in from above, exhaust low and filter out, long exhaust hose pointed away from people and a filter box to help catch the last of the airborne particles. I have never used one but possibly one of those inflatable booths might be an option and guessing probably cheaper than an industrial set up as above.
