i dont know how brittle some of that stuff CAN get.

T-tops, and a very neglectful owner. you can literally chip the plastic off in flicks.

damn sucks. i garage keep my elky but you know...this is after 20 somethin years of it being outside and obviously mistreated by previous owners. i think ttops would be awesome.

hey im doing mine the same color. I went a little different route though. I bout some actual car paint from oreillys and getting them sprayed by my friend for like 30. I sure anybody could do it if the have a airbrush kit or something. I figured I would use car paint because it would last longer. I hope so.

Do you think I should add a clear coat to it? I dont want it to be real shiny though

Honestly I'm not sure. I have a friend who is painting his interior as well and he's much more professional about it than me. He uses a special primer adhesive spray specifically for plastics.
The duplicolor vinyl paint I used is holding up just fine however by itself. I only primed the metal pieces with some random paint primer I had because I worry about that chipping. I don't doubt you could probably pick the paint off with your fingernail if you wanted to get it off...I just have very little patience with painting things like this. Like I said though mine is holding up great and it has a stock-like appearance. Even the headliner and visors are good.
I am no longer working on it because I'm now doing exterior body work. Ill get back to it when I replace the awful seats that are in there at the moment.
Post up pics of how yours turn out!
