you really did a nice job.....ever think of switching the chrome screws for black ones?.

thanks I try. Im still worried about paint chipping off some of the things... I THOUGHT about it....yes. But I think the chrome screws look okay...they dont bother me which is a good thing. I can always switch them out later, but half the screws in there aren't the original screws I can tell. The oem screws have kind of a wide head on them with a kind of protruding center area for the screw head, alot of these looked like some generic screws from a hardware store.

I am really looking into new steering wheels now, something cheap but simple and clean...and definitely a seat alternative because I'm just disgusted with the seats in there. plus the yare really hard to remove and I need to remove them to get the panels out that the seat belts go through..so i can paint those.

what about using a dye? you could dye the seat belts, and even the visors black, that way you would not have to worry about the paint chipping. as far as seats go, how much money do you have to spend? i put first gen camaro seats in mine and they look real nice. also what are you going to do about you door panels? as far as a steering wheel goes i would just get a grant racing one from autozone or something like that, i paid 25$ for mine, it is just like a old school 3 hole steering wheel, but gives the car a nice look.

I can answer that.....we never have enough...lol

Im still worried about paint chipping off some of the things.

I painted my door panels and the only problem I encountered were just a few areas that I didn't clean well enough and the paint started to peel off after about a year...

I did mine about 3 months ago and I love it. I am haing chipping problems only on the kick panel, but it;s my fault. I used vinyl paint instead if plastic down there.

Looks great. Id like to do that with my Monte, but Im concerned about the brittleness? of the 26 year old sun baked plastic.

i appreciate it
all my interior seemed to have held up decently. i dont know how brittle some of that stuff CAN get. mine certainly didnt seem sunbaked but alot of it was either real dirty or faded.

the dash is another story, its got cracks all in it.

you did the dash and everything? that turned you real nice!. did you remove completely from your car? and what did you do for prep work, because i know in my regal the dash is very smooth and kinda spongy and i worry when i do it it will turn out like crap.

nice dashboard fear!!

who has the 1st gen camaro seats? i just saw some for sale but was thinking they might not be sporty enough. eh i donno...probably not a big deal. any pics??

im getting motivated to do the door panels now. I just dont usually like painting things that your gonna be touching. plus theres some little weather stripping pieces on teh door panel (i think) that need to be replaced, wasnt sure if that was the whole door panel needing to be replaced or if you could get the strips seperate.
