i used the existing g body e brake cables, 2000 camaro ls1rear disc brakes, and backing plate, custom made brackets.

there is a board member on here, that installed ls1 brake on his elky. he asked about a using the existing g body cables.

its a piece of chain link, i got it from a porch swing chain. its heavy duty. i had no issues so far, it works great!
also i use a steal tube about the same diameter of the cable, and i welded the tube to a L bracket with hole drilled, for the e cable to run thru. then i tacked the bracket to lower trailing arm, and install the chain link to cable, then around the hook.

I really appreciate your ingenuity.....there's nothing that can match a human mind..

Sweet!!!! I love when peeps think outside the box and make things work! Thanks for the info! I've done the swap on my Bu, Elco and Monte SS. Made some Lil brackets to hold the stock g body e brake cable. It's nice to see other ways of doing this so peeps can put that e brake to use!!!
