I would go with chrome then. Easier to clean plus it'll look good against a dark color. I dont think you can get the Coys in a 17x9.5 though. Might have to do 8" all the way around. If so, I'd run 4" of backspace. and 245/45-17 up front and a 255/45-17 or a 255/50-17 out back.

Okay, i think i found the wheels i want. 17x8 all around, but with a 4.5 backspacing. is that too much? basically that means the wheels would stick out farther than a wheel with 4" backspacing right? thanks!

No, the more backspace you have, the further the wheel sets in. 4.5 should be OK for you though. If they have 4" of backspace go that route - I know it works. But 4.5 should be fine - I know it will be in the back, but it should clear everything up front.

What wheels did you find?

the more backspace, the more they set in? man, that sucks. but i guess if i dont like them i can always go with something else.

i found a set of 17x8 boyd smootie wheels here in okc. the only reason i havent gotten them yet it because they are polished, and you already convinced me into getting chrome. however, if i get a good deal on polished wheels, im not going to let them pass me by.
