Here is a website of a Pontiac High Performance parts store for the Ram Air manifolds http://www.amesperf.com/ the catalog is big and it has to be downloaded to look them up but as far as the test goes that is at this website http://www.highperformancepontiac.com
I'm not sure what size tubes they tested against but they flowed better at different rpm's and such. You can also port, polish, hone etc.. these manifolds to increase the flow...If you have a Pontiac motor you will love these!!

Are we still talking RA IV manifolds? Won't these be useless without the round exhaust port RA IV heads? (at least IIRC the RA IV was round port...)

You know if you buy good header gaskets like the ones linked above you won't have to continually re-torque the bolts or have leaks. Also most cheap headers have a light coat of cheap non rust/heat resistant paint on them from the factory to keep them from rusting before reaching the consumer. If you blast them clean then paint them with a good rust resistant header paint they won't rust out either. Yes headers generally are one of the few bang for the buck real measurable performance gain products.

Im swapping from a 355 to a 455 with edl round port heads...

he is using round port heads.........^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

84GP455 beat me to it.

Edelbrocks use round port but it really does not matter.

You can get either D port or round threw R.A.R.E.

http://www.ramairrestoration.com/catalog/

The ones I just installed were the opened up D port. Very nice work they do cleaning them up.

The real killer proved to be the kink bent downpipes.

Both RARE and PY both make mandrel bent downpipes.

The 69 Bird was making around 500HP with long branches, switched to Maddog headers and ran maybe a tenth quicker.

For street or mild/street strip RA manifolds are hard to beat.

:blam:  That'll teach me to not read up all the way!

Very NICE SHOTGUN!!!!! they look awesome!!! I gotta get me a pair!!! 😀

ram air IV had the round ports but the ram air III had the regular ports, same design (semi header)

It may be awhile, but I will try and get an answer on the long branch idea.

If my customer did not sell his, maybe I can borrow them and mock them up on my GP.

Could open up another option.

I did also forget 3 tubes headers, but there is little to no gain over manifolds but with all the header hassles.

They are lighter.
