Poor Guys In Calgary

Aye-yup. Saturday last, on my way to the local econo tool shop, four lane street, me in the passing lane, guy in a late model truck running in the curb lane just ahead of me. And now we have a pair of cyclists, riding side by each, not really anywhere close to the curb. The truck has to either change lanes in a hurry, which puts him right in front of me, RIGHT NOW!! with me on the brakes and hoping for a fast enough slow down that I don't eat his rear bumper, or him slowing down and trying to maneuver around them, only they aren't giving up an inch of road, They did go single file but still nowhere near the curb. He slowed down and I hauled mail to get ahead of all this before he got hot and did a lane change without bothering to shoulder check before hand. Not sure if they, the truck and the cyclists, exchanged pleasantries at all; just made myself scarce. Point here being that the local roads were designed and constructed back in an era where cars were skinnier and bikes had room and drivers were more courteous. Can't widen the roads, the cars are fat sloppy pieces of automotive mediocrity, and the drivers are self-absorbed narcissists who pay more attention to their cell phones than the road. The bicyclists?? Well that is a rant all by itself.....

So did i win????

Am i now the King of Canada?

Here they recently reduced the speed limit in school zones from 40 kph to 30 kph...is that maybe what it is?
And Melville, Saskatchewan is just about one big school zone, so close to right.

I live in South Georgia and we were on the way to Lake Seminole for an airboat ride. Black truck and airboat. About 20 or so hardtails were riding on a 2 lane country road and blocking it. They looked back at me and laughed and wouldn't let me pass. Wife is telling me to calm down calm down calm down Greg. It takes a lot to make me mad but they did it. The funny part of it was they were from Florida. Don't pay taxes on a Georgia country road and no respect. Pi**es me off just thinking about it.
