Thanks, i think im going to go with 3.73 gears.
 
Nice lookin Elco. Ever take her down to ye local test n tune to see what she would run? Overdrive is great for getting both great acceleration and decent mileage/highway cruising. 18 to 20 is real good. Are you estimating or did you actually calculate the mileage over a few tanks?

I have no idea how much i get mpg....Where the test n tune? any where in cali?...all i know is that i want to get good mileage and what to tear up so asphalt!!!...lol
 
80Elca, test n tune is just a fairly common term for what drag strips call their street car run what you brung or test and tune your drag car night at the drags. Anything that meets tech can get in and their is no formal competition just a chance to run your car see what she will do and or if your modifications made her any faster. Its usually like $15 bucks to run and happens on a weekday night.
 
i think you'll be happy with 3.73 gears the new cutlass i bought last night has 3.73 gears a 355 and had th350 (till he blew the torque converter) but judings by the black marks befor the guys drive way 3.73 are one hell of a set of gears. hit us up after you get it switched

Kool...I thinnk we have a racing track here at the Irvine Specturm race track...and i think i can test n tune...thanks for that info...i just might run it....

Kool, theres a guy here in LA that has the gears and will install them for $350.00 Ace the Repp...Do you think its worth the price?
