posi unit

can anyone reconmend a good posi unit for a 1986 GP/LE stock axle, auburn,eaton .
which is the best or some others I'am missing. Reliability is important but at the same time trying to keep cost down.

I pulled 3:42 out of a fourth gen Firebird at a pick&pull and bought all new bearings and 28 spline Moser axels from Summit. My RH axel was bent for some reason when I bought the car. I'm not sure you couldn't buy a 26 spline posi new and keep your axels for the same money.

Would like to go with 373 gears and keep my axle,trying to keep it original as possible, my rear end is mint just want to get
away from the 241 granny gear so i have some get up and go. what posi unit would yall recommend?

I would look for a used posi and gears from a salvage yard or ebaymotors. If you go with a new posi , Auburn is a great stock replacement, Eaton has a great posi and its rebuildable, But cost more then the Auburn.

I'll go with auburn, How hard would it be to find the speedo gear/cable to adjust MPH so it will acurant with the

a new eaton style unit from strange is only like $330 i dont think they have much for 26 spline axles. A lot of stuff is at least for 28 or 30 spline
