Has any one try to put power mirrors ('70 style) from an C3 Vette on their car? Getting old & lazy, so I would like put them on my Monte. I would even convert an extra set of mirrors if there is a suitable set to donate the power guts.

What year Monte, and what style mirror (older bullet style, or newer aero style) do you have? There is some info on this site about power conversions using the newer aero style mirrors. I'm not sure about any info about power conversions using the older bullet style mirrors.
I got an '81 with the bullet mirrors. Years ago I came across the C3 Vette mirrors at Canfield, Oh & been tossing the idea around getting a set to use. Other than the base, everything else should be about the same.
I looked into this a couple of years ago. I think it might be possible to make them work, but they are very rare, and really expensive if you can find them. I had no luck, so switched to something newer that I could still mount in the same location. Details on my web page if you want to make something similar.
Would there be any other '80's cars that might also work to donate the guts? The mirrors looks really cool on your Elco, but I would like to keep more of an original look for how my Monte when it's done.
There is a write up here as well as other gbody sites. Using newer Camaro power mirror guts in our style housings . And they are easy ti find in bone yards . Also use a Impala power mirror controll (joystick ) To look like OEM equiptment
