I can't stand por-15, over rated and way overpriced and never seen any results from it. I have had rust come right through por-15 multiple times.

Rustoleum paint code number 7777 is the correct shade of black for the chassis and trunk and its less than 10 bucks a can. Even comes in a spray.

We all know just because it is more expensive doesn't mean it is better.

I wouldn't use the black rubberized under coating in the trunk.

There is a chance it will come off or stick to things you put on it.

The spatter paint was not used in G-bodys or at least not in Malibus

The rustoleum should be all you need.

I planned to use a roll on or spray in bed liner in a can for my trunk. Probably Herculiner brand.

I have used Por-15 for all my front suspension, and I have great results. I think that following the directions is the key, you must use the Metal Ready first, it is phosphoric acid with zinc and other primer agents. One cannot simple paint over rust as they lead you to believe in their ads. They also say 3 hours between coats(or until finger drag "tacky" dry), which in Wisconsin's climates can vary to be up to 5 hours. Another thing is that POR-15 is UV sensitive, so it needs to be top coated with Chassis Black when used in applications that see a lot of sun, or it will peel. It's great for undercarriages and engine compartments, but yea...it's pricey stuff, and not intended for everything.

Yes, I too have heard many people tell me of other people's bad results, I have had some tell me that it will look crap in very little time. Well it's been 5 years with the Monte's front suspension and 2 years with the Fiero's front suspension and they both still look great...only time will tell how long it will sustain it's beauty...but nothing lasts forever.

Home Depot, Lowes and just about any hardware store.

If you want to prime it just use the Rustoleum primer.

If you don't want to prime it just paint it.
