That car would be a great sleeper. Swaybars, springs, wheels and tires any missing lower frame bushings. Build a nice small block for it.

Cleaned up. with new bumper fillers and done right it would make car craft magazine. That is the kind of car someone will buy and put $15K into. You are probably not that guy.

Cleaning it up and getting it running wouldn't be that hard -new battery, carb rebuild kit, etc.. Then put it on craigslist for $5K OBO (highlight the low miles the rust free and the originality... and the 5.0L V8) and take the first offer around $4K. It will likely need tires/belts/hose, etc but don't do any of that to sell it. The new owner likely won't care.

I'll echo the same sentiments, you will be lucky to get $1500 as it sets, get it running and driving then list at $5k knowing you will sell for less if you have to build a 240. Or come to grips with you own what will become a classic American car and keep it instead of an import, not that there is anything wrong with an import if you go that direction.

with all of your guys replies, i think i am going to keep it, and just get it running as a weekend driving car, i dont think i would have to put too much money into it because the battery in it says expired 2012, so i know he had it running a few years ago, just not seriously driven. but thanks for your replies. also they have another buick that stopped working because of either an alternator, fuse, or fuel pump, all i would need to do that is new brake lines and like i said one of those things above just to sell it.

the only other option would be to sell a lincoln continental from the 60s
If it's in good shape, you would get way more out of that continental than you would any g body, outside of a grand national or a monte SS or 442 or 2+2.

You should post some pictures of the Lincoln, I for one would like to see it and I am sure others would also.

Next time I go over to their house I will for sure get some pics, although it has a lot of trash dust and spider webs on it because it sits in a garage

Yea I'm not trying to make much money, and plus I could never sell his lincoln, he talks about how his dad passed it down all the time. Plus I think it has too much problems to even be fixed
