Yea I'm not trying to make much money, and plus I could never sell his lincoln, he talks about how his dad passed it down all the time. Plus I think it has too much problems to even be fixed

Well, if it has sentimental value, then by all means keep that. If you want that 240 bad enough you'll figure something out.

Just an update, i got it running on starter fluid, next weekend i am going to siphon the gas, put new stuff in, and see if the carb needs to be rebuilt. everything sounds healthy, no rod knock!
