My left blinker doesn't blink just stays lit like when the flasher goes out but the right side still flashes where should I start

:bump:

Check your blinker fuse on the fuse box, it like a round silver color with i think 2 points..

well does it not blink in front and back? there is a flasher that is a round cylinder.should be close to the fuse box.i would try that first.then the next thing would be to check would be the switch on the column.

You have a bad bulb on that side. Look around for it. it's a built-in warning system on old cars. On newer cars when a bulb is out the flasher flashes faster.

Thanks everyone I'll give all that a try today once I'm off work and the right blinker works fine the left side when I turn it on the signal light just turns on and doesn't flash. And it turns on in the front and back I didn't think it was the flasher because the right side still flashes but I'll check it out

you most likely have a bulb out

Even tho it stays lit

Sounds like a bulb is out to me. All the bulbs are working? On my 81 if I turned the headlights on with a light out, the turn signal indicator would illuminate in the dash. Can you swap the flasher with the hazard flasher to see if it is bad? The hazard flasher is most likely under the dash clipped around the steering column somewhere.
