I have clearance issues between the inner tie rod and crossmember as the steering cycles on the D.S. there seems to be enough on the P.S.
I am running all Proforged parts, this is what I have.
Centerlink 106-10071
Pitman 103-10055
Idler 102-10013
Inner T.R. 104-10020
Borgenson box 800130

Wondering if anybody has used these parts and had similar issues?

I probably could just grind a small amount off material off of the tierod
but thought I wouldn't have to as they were made to fit. or did I make a mistake along the way. I tend to do that from time to time. Thanks

With no down pressure.

Does the other side interfere as well? If no, then it should be easier to identify which component is out of whack.

I seen you post somewhere else that you are using a different spindle, what is it?

And if you remove the bump steer ‘kit’ does the issue go away?

My tierods are 17.5" but my pitman arm is about 6.25"

My steering box and pitman arm is stock, 1986 cutlass.

borgeson box #800130

proforged:
centerlink # 10610071
Idler arm # 102-10013
pitman arm# 103-10055.

My pitman arm is approx 6.5" center to center

I am using the CPP g-body C5 Corvette spindles, ridetech arms with their bump steer kit
Nice very close to what I have, How much clearance do you have between tie rod arm and frame?
What's the measurement between ball end and tie rod link? I have 5 3/4".
I'm stumped.😛

Ps is ok , My spindel is from Southside Machine Performance, which I think is a Speedway Part # 91035000 not sure what they do to it but I think they retool the steering arm to accept bigger tie rod ends. Not my smartest purchase in hindsight, kinda of a late night impulsive thing. With that I measure 5 3/4" between lower ball and tie rod end, not sure what a stock measures.
No bump steer. I've double checked pn and they are supposed to work. Seems like a very close setup to what xylorex has exept spindels and lower arms. Did notice his steering box has a 1 and mine has a 4 stamped. Not sure if there was any variations.

Was there ever a resolution to this ?
Hope you got your car sorted out
Wanting to order the Proforged steering kit but wondering if I should just use moog

Update, no resolution

I apologize for the response time. No free time in the summer. I bought a pitman arm puller and stockish pitman arm (Allstar Performance) back in April and didn't get to installing untill this week. The pitman arm is shorter and a slightly less degree of bend. I installed with high hopes, the clearance issue seemed to be better but when I turn the wheel all the way to the right something get bound up.
Seems like the angle on pitman and idler might not match now causing the bind. Something is still not right. Another frustrating hurdle! Very close to taking everything out and starting over, 1 step forward 2 steps back. Lol 20221122_204749.jpg20221122_205006.jpg20221122_204727.jpg
