I'm new, and this is just going to be me catching you up on what's been done to my 86 442, and what's to come. I bought the car for $800 after it sat under a tree for 3 years, ripped out the 307 and the 200r4, to replace it with a 350 out of a 77 with a mild wolverine cam, dual edelbrock 750s, and an offenhauser dual quad 360 intake manifold, I made an adapter plate for a built 700r4, and I took the 3.73 ring and pinion out and put in a richmond 4.11 with an eaton locker put it all in and drove it for a few months until that 700r4 decided it didn't want to deal with the olds torque and commited suicide. After that I decided to rip everything out and start over, it gets all torn apart, and recieves clevite pistons, a comp cams extreme energy cam, h-beam rods, headwork, and another brand new trans... that lasted 3 months, now I'm on 700r4 number 3 and its getting yanked out again to get replaced with a t-56, I also put the 3.73s back in because launching is not an issue when you make torque. Now I'm looking to buy another one of the exact same block to put the 442 into its final form, a fuel injected twin turbo sbo mounted to a 6 speed manual, follow the build because this isn't your average grandmas olds. P.s. I'm sure I'm leaving out a bunch, but what's most important is what's ahead.
