im just going by my experience that with my lower profile eldebrach performer intake and low profile intake filter, a 1 inch spacer would not fit under the carb, and a stock quadrajet would not fit either. your intake looks at least an inch taller than mine, but let me know lol

I think it'll look sweet, and turn out an awesome car.

People wanted me to keep my Cutlass original, heh, that didn't last long  .

These are G bodies, not sacred relics of a great bygone era. Build it as you wish. Now if you were making a real fake and representing it as something it was not, I would have an issue with it as that is fraud. Seeing as you are not, I have no problem with it. These are not good cars unless you make them into what you want them to be. G bodies are a perfect canvas to express your automotive self because almost anything you do to one is an improvement. So, I wish you good luck and godspeed.

Dude,

Have fun with your build! I think that it's going to be really cool to see the transformation.

I'm also really interested to see how you're going to intergrate the "yard-man" into your design. 😀

wow wow wow, i'm sorry i was not referring to your car directly, now that i read it over it seems like a *ss hole comment. hahaha im actually glad to see a nice chevy with a single plane intake under the hood. as far as hoods, glass tech makes the best ones hands down, and at a decent price. i am running a performer rpm air gap and am keeping my fingers crossed that the hood clears. keep us updated.

just one thing: if you're going to put in a v8 in a GNX body, it better be able to eat a turbo 3.8's lunch!!! otherwise gnx purists will just look at you and laugh!

are you planning on doing the GNX rear suspension as well, or just badging and louvers?

I like the look that you are trying too achieve with your car. Did you consider puttin a buick 455 in it that woulda had some eye opening torque, but for the cost and weight issue tha SBC is a great replacment
