Nice score! What is the plan for the Century, now that this car is too nice for a parts car?
Although this car is in better shape than the Century, I have to keep moving forward with my original plans with the Century. I have invested too much $$ to switch directions now. So... i will build both cars, but it may take a little longer on each car, since I have to spread funds across 3 projects (1991 S10 included - damn thing keeps getting pushed to the back burner, due to these GBody cars)

I can hear my wife already. "If you would focus on one project, maybe you could get something done" Now are you a hoarder or a collector? I think the new one I would clean it up and drive it, and wait for someone to offer too much money for it! I have been following my wife's advice this winter. I have been focused on my skidsteer engine and have let my Monte sit. Getting burnt out on the headache of a engine and have missed my car terribly. I am almost done with the engine though. I looking forward to see what you do with your projects.

All my wife is worried about is a parking spot in the driveway, LoL. With that said, I don't have room to hoard. I just collect rarer, more valuable G's. My GN, and 2 Aeros are all I need right now. The 80 Century parts car is almost stripped of anything valuable to me ( dash, column, seats, front clip, bumpers, aluminum supports, new fuel tank, headliner, etc ) and will be gone soon. I would like to acquire a Monte Aerocoupe in the next few years... Thanks for following Zach.

James, I think it might be time for an intervention. Hahaha! Cool car. Looking forward to seeing it.

Well it didn't take long to start spending $$ on this car. Modern-Day Ralleys... 18" Camaro steel wheels look close to original styling. With 245/40-18 tires, they will be only .2" taller than stock tires. I will have to wait a couple weeks before I can buy the tires. The wheels did not come with ( Bowtie ) center caps, but that is just what I wanted... a deal. $80 for all (4). Can't beat that. Now I know by the time I buy the correct spacers, center caps with NO logo, and tires, I will have $500 in these, but at least I can spread out the purchase, and they will be just what I need. I will leave them black for now, but when the car is painted, I will color match them, just like factory.

Let's talk abut this a minute, so I don't make a mistake. Found this on another forum.

The new camaro 18X7.5 has 38mm offset which equals 5.8 inches of backspacing. If you want the outer face of the wheel to match where the factory wheel sits, or within about 1/4 of an inch you will need to match the backspacing of the original rim. So you are looking at a spacer that needs to be camaro backspacing minus the original wheel backspacing or 1.3 inches or 33mm's.

So with this being said, It looks like the 1.25" OR 1.5" spacer would work. I'm thinking the 1.5" would be a better choice.
Do you agree? Please post pics of your setup. Thanks!
