JAMCAR223, you mentioned above "The distributor, and accessory brackets from the 260, will work", will this also work on a 455? I also have a 260 and have located a 455, it doesn't have the brackets and I wanted to use the existing pump, compressor, etc.

Tom, it's the deck height of the 455 that makes the swap a pain. Some say you can modify, but I would look for the 455 brackets, if it were me.

compass mirror?
yea, you know, compass mirror. that way you can see what direction you came from. lol
It's just a rear view mirror, guys. It's what I have, and it's only 4 wires to hook it up. It reads the outside temp and the direction your driving. Not that big of a deal...

Special delivery. The 245/40/18 tires just arrived. They show to be only .2" taller than stock tires on the Salon. I'm hoping that fitment will not be an issue, and the speedo will be almost correct. These will get mounted on the 2013 Camaro Ralley wheels I purchased for $80 2 weeks ago. Those wheels had 2 bad tires, and 2 good tires. I will trade the 2 good tires ( that are too tall for the GBody ) for the labor to install these new tires, at the Used Tire shop up the street.

These new tires are cheap China tires, that will probably dry rot before wearing out. At $56 each, I don't think I could go wrong, I bought them through Amazon, used my discount.... all 4 delivered $233. You guys know how I do it. I still need the $150 spacers in order to install these on the car, but I will have the tires mounted up this weekend.

Where did you get it from?

I have a pair of 2" hub centric spacers sitting on my shelf I had to modify to clear the G body spindle/rotor on my 2+2. The inside of the hub centric ring hit the rotor hat.

I put LS brakes on my spindle so I had to go with a 1.5" spacer to bring the wheel back in. If you want my 2" wide spacer let me know, the machining is for hub clearance and wont affect performance if you decide to go with blazer brakes which I think you picked the parts up for.

$150 spacers? I think my pair of 2" was like 30 bucks on ebay, unless you are going something specific.

Still totally jealous your finds. Makes me want to move down south, the frozen northern tundra doesnt have these deals 🙂

Your best bet is a Saturn Vue from around 2004 ish. I have also got them out of 2002-06 GM trucks. The Suburbans usually have OnStar, and have buttons you won't use. This one came from a Saturn Vue, and they usually get passed right by in the J-yard. I get them on " 50% off " days for $7.

I need the " lug pattern changing spacers " since the Camaro wheels are 5x120mm, and the GBody 5x120.7mm. These spacers come with grade 8 studs, and matching lug nuts. I have an item for sale right now, and a guy is supposed to come look tomorrow. If I sell that item, it will cover the cost of the spacers, and the extended wheel studs I need to mount them to the GBody. Then the Camaro wheels will bolt right up properly.

Thanks to ALL of you who follow / like / post on this thread. The next things I want to do is tune-up the engine, swap the worn out steering column, rebuild the front suspension, install the Blazer brakes, and mount the 18" Camaro Ralley wheels. I have the tune-up parts, I have the wheels, and I have the Blazer brakes ( need rotors turned ). I think I can get all that done for about $400. I should be able to enjoy it a little bit more, at that point. Curious what it will look like with those wheels...??

If you find another like that with no buttons grab it for me plz!!!!!
